Nakajima Display, like the two sword-shaped hands inside the watch, makes every moment of time meaningful, and every word count. The binary corridor display is carefully sculptured to create space and stylish ambiance. The exceptionally fine finishing of display windows entitles it to show the prestigious heritage inside.
This project is located in Hong Kong, a bustling city that never sleeps. In the midst of the constant rush, Nakajima provides a place for people to slow down and appreciate the art of timekeeping. Using a combination of luxurious materials, stones, and lighting, the design presents a view of luxury to its customers.
The design team, led by Jack Leung, meticulously planned the materials and managed the project, completing it in just 40 days. The tight timing was a challenge, as the lead time for materials was long, but the construction time was short. However, with careful time management, the shop was able to open on schedule.
Research played a crucial role in the design process, with a focus on understanding the brand's vision and history. The goal was to create a design that seamlessly blended traditional and modern styles. The use of new materials to evoke a traditional feel became the highlight of the design.
The Nakajima Display is designed to coordinate with time. Shining like an endless fleet of stars, it adds a dash of classiness to the time-guardian sitting at its heart. Crafted with the belief that time is always by your side and destined to walk with you along the boulevard of love and luxury. The binary corridor display creates a sense of space and stylish ambiance. The exceptionally fine finishing of the display windows allows the prestigious heritage inside to shine.
This exceptional design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020 in the category of Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. The award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Nakajima's design integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics provide fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.
